Why marble PLA is different

Standard PLA prints look uniform — exactly the same surface, every time. Magic Filament™ PLA Marble is the opposite: pigment particles are distributed unevenly by design, creating naturally varying veins as the filament melts through the nozzle. Every print becomes a one-of-a-kind piece, like a real stone carving. Perfect for objects you want to feel made, not manufactured.

Where it shines

Marble PLA shows its full character on objects with surface area — vases, candle holders, planters, busts, sculptures, lamp shades. The vein pattern follows the print path, wrapping around curves the way real stone wraps around carved surfaces. Recommended print settings
  • Nozzle temperature: 200–220 °C
  • Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
  • Print speed: 40–80 mm/s (slower = more pronounced veining)
  • Cooling fan: 80–100%
  • Retraction: 0.4–0.8 mm (direct drive), 2–4 mm (bowden)
  • Layer height: 0.15–0.25 mm — finer layers show finer veining
  • Drying (if humid): 45 °C for 4 hours

Pro tip: vase-mode prints with thin walls show off the marble effect best. Single-perimeter, no top/bottom, full color saturation.
