Three colors, one filament, zero compromise

Each 1.75 mm strand is co-extruded from three colored PLA streams, each occupying roughly a third of the cross-section. When you print, all three colors lay down together — but because they sit on different sides of each line, your finished object shifts through three distinct hues as light moves across it. It's the most visually complex filament we make, and the closest you'll get to multi-material printing without owning multi-material hardware.

Why only 2 combinations?

Because most three-color combos look muddy. Three colors compete for attention, and unless the palette is carefully balanced, the result is busy rather than beautiful. We tested dozens of combinations and only two delivered the clean, gradient-shift effect we wanted to put our name on. Buy with confidence: if it's in the lineup, it works.

Recommended print settings
  • Nozzle temperature: 215–235 °C (slightly higher for max silk gloss)
  • Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
  • Print speed: 40–80 mm/s (slower = sharper color transitions)
  • Cooling fan: 50–80% (lower fan = better silk effect)
  • Retraction: 0.4–0.8 mm (direct drive), 2–4 mm (bowden)
  • Layer height: 0.15–0.2 mm for crisp color definition
  • Drying (if humid): 45 °C for 4 hours

Pro tip: tri-color rewards large, gently curved surfaces — tall vases, lamp shades, helmets, statues. Tiny prints can mix the three colors into a single muddy tone. Print big, print smooth.
